In this section you can find answers to the most
popular questions from our customers.
What is the process of getting my wedding dress from Mia ateliers?
Please see our process outlined HERE.
Do you have ready-to-wear dresses?
Yes we do! You can browse our collection of “La Beige “ gowns HERE.
Do you have some samples of your previous work?
Yes, we are incredibly proud of our past creations! You can see some of our previous work HERE.
How many people can I bring to my appointments?
You can bring up to 3 family members and friends to your consultation and final fittings.
What happens if my weight changes?
Fluctuations in weight is completely normal. As our dresses are custom-made, we create a dress
to fit your specific body measurements. We completely understand that bodies change over time and that is why we have our dress fitting and alterations. This ensures that we are keeping up-to-date with your body and making any changes that are necessary.
Do you cater for interstate brides?
YES! We are able to accommodate interstate brides. We provide a slightly altered experience for interstate brides. These dresses are at a reduced cost to our standard dresses as you are not able to experience all our fittings. We have experience in this with many brides throughout 2020 and 2021, so you can rest at ease knowing your wedding dress will arrive in perfect condition.
How does it work?
With our help over Zoom, we need you to measure yourself; alternatively you can also get your measurements done at your local seamstress for a small fee. This will allow us to create your dress tailored to your measurements. Once you receive your dress, you may need to get it altered slightly
if your measurements have changed. Rest assured your dress will be crafted to a high quality and only needs very minor alterations (if any)! Book your first Zoom consultation call HERE.
I'm not sure about what I want. How does your design process work?
Deciding on a wedding dress can be overwhelming. Not to worry as we’ll be there for your every step of the way! The design process begins with a Bespoke consultation, where we can discuss your likes/dislikes, inspiration, themes, fit, and wedding day details. Then at our first fitting, we’ll take your measurements and continue getting to know each other. We can show you popular styles based on your preferences and do some sketching from there.
We find that some of our brides have a better idea of their preferences after they have gone through
a few rounds of dress shopping. So don’t feel restricted, go try those dresses you’ve seen online and see if you like how they fit on you. It’s all a part of the process and will help with the design journey.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
We'll be trying on multiple dresses so it's best to come prepared. For a seamless appointment, please wear a non-padded bra; and prepare any undergarments or shapewear that you plan on wearing on your wedding day. This is not compulsory, but will help you focus on the visual of the dresses and get a sense of how you feel in them. If you’re not sure what undergarments you’ll be wearing on the day, no stress! You can wear your regular clothes so you can get changed easily.
